How I stayed fit in lockdown


Lockdown can be with dreadful news about COVID-19 coming from all over the world, it can take a toll not only on your mental health but also your physical health. Hence it is very important to follow some basic fitness exercises to maintain your physical and mental wellbeing. Below are just a few basic pointers that how i kept myself fit

Eat Enough, Eat Well

First things first, eat healthy food items- include items like salads, fruits, curd, etc. Take foods rich in immunity-boosting vitamins like C(almost all fruits), B6(Garlic, chicken, fish, etc) and E (Spinach, nuts), etc. at least during one meal during the day. Intake enough calories, but don’t overdo it.

Stay Hydrated

Your sense of thirst can diminish when you are at home binge-watching a tv series or involved in some other task. If you think you are not getting enough water, set a timer on your mobile to remind you to drink water. Though this is one most the most annoying advice, it is absolutely true. Water plays an important role in boosting your immunity.
If you despise drinking water, you can add some mint and tulsi leaves and let the water stay overnight. This gives you a refreshing flavor.

Exercise

You can find numerous videos and online articles on exercises to do at home and yoga asanas. If you don’t have the mood to find them all, here are some awesome videos by Cult(cultfit app). Make sure you include them in your morning routine so that you can feel fresh and active all day long.

Sleep Soundly

So this is my favourite one. A good night’s sleep can do wonders for your mental and physical health. Make sure you are at least getting 8 hours of minimum sleep every day.
